Retaining walls to hold the hill, a rock channel and pond between them, and lighting so it works after dark. Construct retaining walls, define walking paths with pavers, give people a place to gather: this is what hardscaping looks like when the plants come from the same yard.

Bryan and Cheryl · Come grow with us
Bryan studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and designed and managed landscapes for six years before the plants kept on calling. When Roots (formerly Russells Nursery) came up for sale, he and Cheryl moved here and committed to stocking the nursery with a large and varied selection of trees.
Read our story“I've purchased many perennials there as well as trees and everything has been healthy and thriving over the years. The Snow Fountains Weeping Cherry, Purple Leaf Choke Cherry, and Tri Colored Beech are especially beautiful additions to my garden. The staff there has always been helpful and even took care of a tree I bought for several weeks as I waited for night temperatures to warm up for planting.”
“I was able to ask her where a specific variety of bush was and she helped me locate those and then I showed her a picture of a spot off my porch where I wanted a windbreak and she had great suggestions on what to put there.”

Come in and say hi
You're welcome to call us anytime, but bring a photo of the spot, the leaf that's curling or the sprinkler head that won't pop up, and we'll give you the personal and detailed attention you need.
